What is the difference between Suboxone and Subutex?
Suboxone is a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone and Subutex is buprenorphine used to treat pregnant women suffering from opioid abuse disorder.
How long can I stay on Suboxone?
Suboxone can be used for long-term treatment of opioid abuse disorder.
How often will I have to come?
Once you have started Suboxone you will be scheduled to come in every two weeks based on your tolerance and reaction. Individual response to Suboxone may vary so your appointments may be more or less frequent based on your tolerance.
Is It safe?
Suboxone was approved under the Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 (DATA) for office-based treatment of opioid dependency and it was approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Suboxone is considered safe and most effective when taken under the supervision of a clinician.
